A song. Wings.

Written 24th August 2017 in the UK. Aston Farm.

My wings have been broken and for months it felt like they didn't work anymore.

So long I've been hurting and struggling to reach the clouds.

I feel to heavy to fly, to sad to ask why.

With the strength and the courage you gave me,

I must find my wings and...

Fly with the wings that you gave me

without them I'm stuck on the ground.

I have to learn how to use them with your shadow all around.

Physically you can't lift me

cause you're not here anymore.

Everyday I learn to lift my feet off the floor.

Your tears they fall as rain from the sky all year.

Wishing and hoping that you'd said goodbye to me.

For now the wetness on my skin,

helps me to begin to feel you around.

Fly with the wings that you gave me

without them I'm stuck on the ground.

I have to learn how to use them with your shadow all around.

Physically you can't lift me

cause you're not here anymore.

Everyday I learn to lift my feet off the floor.

One day my wings will no longer fly.

One day I'll be the one ready to say goodbye.

I'll see you up there in heaven,

when we meet again.

I'll tell you of all the adventures I had for us.

While we sit and we watch those below us try to find their wings.
